Overall Assistance for Startup Immigration System (OASIS) is a program operated by Global Startup Immigration Center designated by the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Small and Medium Venture Businesses. Develop your entrepreneurial skills with OASIS courses, and learn from those who've been there and done it before with our guides.
OASIS (Overall Assistance for Startup Immigration System) provides both start-up support and start-up visa (D-8-4) to foreigners who decide to launch business in Korea based on outstanding ideas and technology.
OASIS-1 : Basic Intellectual Property Course (15 points)
Basic course required to acquire (apply for) intellectual property rights and to stay in Korea. Total of 12+@ hours (2 – 8 hours a day, 2 weeks), all courses are provided in a proper language for participants and a minimum attendance of 80% is required for the completion.
OASIS-2 : Advanced Intellectual Property Course (25 Points)
Advanced course necessary to acquire (apply for) intellectual property rights; required to stay in Korea. Total of 20+@ hours (2 – 8 hours a day, 2 weeks), provided in a proper language for participants and a minimum attendance of 80% is required for the course completion.
OASIS-3 : Intellectual Property Application Support and Prototype Production Support
Provide support in the intellectual property application process for outstanding items (ideas) with creativity. Provide expenses for acquiring the rights of the ideas {application fee (written opinion can be supported), agent commission} within the given range, one time per person, and only for patent, utility model and design (trademark is excluded). Select technologies (ideas) applied or registered with high commercialization possibility through public contests and support for commercialization and model production, one time per person.
OASIS-4 : Basic Start-up Class (25 points)
Basic start-up course for foreigners equipped with basic technologies for a business start-up. A total 20 hours (2 hours a day, 3 weeks), all courses are provided in a proper language for participants and a minimum of 80% attendance is required for the course completion.
OASIS-5 : Start-Up Coaching & Mentoring (15 Points)
Provide a professional coaching and mentoring service on the issues necessary for a business start-up including selecting a location, market research and customer analysis. Minimize start-up failure rate early on through one-on-one coaching from a start-up immigration mentor or experts, experience sharing, and site visit. A minimum of 6 hours (3 sessions) of exclusive coaching and mentoring is recognized as points.
OASIS-6 : Invention, Start-Up Exhibition (25 Points)
Find opportunities to identify foreigner’s creative intellectual property ideas and start-up items, open sales channels, and connect investors, etc. Find opportunities to identify outstanding and inventive start-up items of potential immigrant entrepreneurs, etc. and to promote technology transaction and investment counseling among participants. Provide opportunities for participants to take part in inventions and start-up items of potential immigrant entrepreneurs, etc. and to promote technology transaction and investment counseling among participants.
OASIS-7 : Graduation from Start-Up Incubation (15 Points)
Provide a stable start-up environment by giving a space to individuals who are prepared for a business start-up. Provide a space for initial start-up to individuals who have completed support programs for intellectual property rights and start-up with outstanding performance or those who have received awards at invention/start-up exhibitions. Graduation is recognized only after six months have passed since the start-up moved in the start-up incubation.
OASIS-8 : Support for corporation establishment (15 Points)
Support the establishment of corporation, which is imperative to achieve a start-up visa(D-8-4) for successful start-up immigration. Support preparation procedure and administrative affairs for corporation establishment to help foreigners ob0tain a start-up visa(D-8-4). Comprehensive assistance in administration and corporate registration required to establish corporation.
OASIS-9 : Support Start-Up Items Commercialization (25 Points)
Promote successful start-up immigration with a policy support for start-ups at early stages. Provide initial commercialization expenses as well as support R&D and post-management.
